Afsanesara Dance Academy is an online space dedicated to learning Persian, Georgian and Silk Road–inspired dances in an accessible, structured and culturally respectful way. My goal is to make these beautiful movement traditions available to dancers around the world — whether you’re a complete beginner, a hobby dancer, or an experienced performer seeking refinement and deeper understanding.

All courses are available through the private Members Area of this website, powered by Wix. Once you purchase a course: • you create a free account • you log in anytime • you immediately get access to all video lessons, course materials and bonuses included in your purchase You can watch the lessons on desktop, tablet or phone. (If you ever have trouble logging in, you can contact me directly.)

All courses are hosted directly here on my website, inside the secure Wix Members Area. You don’t need any external apps — everything will be in one place.

Courses are pre-recorded, so you can learn at your own pace and repeat lessons as often as you want. In the future, I may also include live Zoom workshops and class recordings as optional extras.

Absolutely. Afsanesara Dance Academy offers clear, structured introduction courses that guide you step-by-step, even if you’ve never danced before. You don’t need previous experience, flexibility, or coordination — all you need is curiosity and an open heart.

Not at all. Dance is for every age and every body. All my courses focus on technique, musicality and expression, not athleticism or extreme flexibility. You can learn safely at your own pace, and you can always modify movements depending on your comfort.

That’s one of the gifts of online learning — you can dance at home, privately, without pressure or judgment. You can repeat lessons as many times as you want, take breaks whenever you need, and build confidence slowly, on your own terms.

Yes — absolutely. I have years of experience both teaching and learning dance online, and I know exactly which difficulties students face when learning 3D movement from a 2D screen. Because of that, my lessons are filmed clearly, broken into digestible parts, and explained in a way that supports real motor learning and strong technique. My online students have achieved excellent results, from beginners to professional dancers.

Wear anything comfortable that allows you to move freely — leggings, a soft skirt, a top, anything you like. If you enjoy wearing something pretty to feel motivated, go for it! But no, you don’t need a special costume or dancewear to begin.

All classes are taught in English. Although I am not a native speaker, my explanations are simple, clear and accessible for learners who may not be very fluent in English.

You can pay for individual courses using PayPal or Stripe (credit/debit card). Both methods are safe, fast and secure.

Yes. I teach combinations to help you understand technique, structure and movement vocabulary — and you are welcome to use them in your own choreography or improvisation. Please credit the source if possible; it supports small creators.

Even advanced dancers will benefit from starting with the Beginner / Fundamentals course, because it introduces you to my method, terminology and approach. More advanced or specialized courses (e.g., Arm Technique) will give you deeper refinement and stylistic detail.

A feedback class is a 30-minute personal Zoom session (1-hour sessions may be added later). You practice the material on your own first, then during our session: • you dance the combinations or techniques for me • I give you personalized corrections • you can ask questions • we refine details together It’s your chance to get direct guidance tailored to your body and level.

A clear cancellation and rescheduling policy will be added soon, but in general: • sessions can be rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance • last-minute cancellations are considered used This helps me manage time fairly for everyone.

Because each lesson is condensed, high-value material. In an in-person class, the same content would normally take at least an hour, including demonstrations, explanations, repeats, questions and individual corrections. Online lessons remove the filler and give you only the essential technique — clearly explained, easy to repeat, and structured for effective learning. You can rewatch them endlessly, which is something an in-person class cannot offer.

There is no free trial for paid courses, but the "Your First 10 Steps in Persian Dance" course is free, there you can see if you like my teaching style.
